The via dei Contrabbandieri (Smugglers' way) is not a via ferrata but an unequipped ledge overlooking the lake between Riva del Garda and Limone. It's a horizontal mountaineer route to be tackled with the same techniques of vertical climbing. It requires experience in via ferrata or rock climbing.

For those who want to tackle equipped multipitch sport routes. You will learn the techniques of safety and progression, to set up a stop, the dynamic safety with brake to the lead climber, to recover the second rope climber from a stop, the descent on double rope and the use of quick protections.
