The via ferrata dell’Amicizia starts from Riva del Garda. The approach is quite long. The via ferrata is demanding and exposed, with long metal ladders. It's classified as difficult and not recommended as a first ferrata, especially if you suffer from vertigo.

The via dei Contrabbandieri (Smugglers' way) is not a via ferrata but an unequipped ledge overlooking the lake between Riva del Garda and Limone. It's a horizontal mountaineer route to be tackled with the same techniques of vertical climbing. It requires experience in via ferrata or rock climbing.

The Ballino via ferrata goes up the rock face beside the Rio Ruzza waterfall in the Ballino pass. There are several vertical sections with simple suspension bridges. It's exposed, very well equipped and safe but quite challenging and not suitable for those who suffer from vertigo.
